Very early on, Simon Proust was motivated by the desire to transmit and share music with as many people as possible, and he regularly performs in educational concerts for a variety of audiences (young people, people with disabilities, etc.) He regularly conducts the Orchestre National des Pays de la Loire in several programmes, with Frédéric Courant, Clément Lebrun etc.
As comfortable presenting concerts as he is on the podium, he likes to share a few keys to listening, stories, anecdotes, in various forms.
This same desire to pass on his knowledge leads him to regularly conduct young musicians' orchestras at the Conservatoire à Rayonnement Régional in Angers and Nancy, at the Pôle Aliénor and with the Orchestre Atelier Ostinato. Every year he returns to the Conservatoire National Supérieur de Musique de Paris.
The Orchestre des Jeunes du Centre, of which he became musical director in 2017, enables him to train nearly 90 young musicians each summer, surrounded by a large teaching team from the major French and European symphony orchestras.
Simon Proust is also committed to amateur music practices, assisting François-Xavier Roth for "Playing for Philharmonie", with the COGE, the Clés d'Euphonia, and at the European level, directing in July 2022 the European Student Orchestra at the Halle aux grains (Toulouse).
Finally, in 2010, he founded the Ensemble Cartésixte, a solidarity orchestra, performing in Tours in favour of charities working in the area.
